One of the coolest things about Samsung TV Gallery is that you can add photos to your Gallery and display them whenever you want. Whether you want to show off vacation photos or display your photography collection, the Samsung TV Gallery lets you put it on the biggest screen in the house.

Below you’ll get a breakdown of exactly how to view and add photos on your Samsung TV Gallery. This process will allow you to use your Samsung TV as a big digital picture frame for family photos, wallpapers, and more.

The first step to adding photos to your Samsung TV Gallery is downloading the Samsung Smart View software app. This software is free to download and can be found in the Google Play Store.

Along with allowing you to view your photos on your Samsung TV, the Samsung Smart View app also allows you to do the following (Source: Samsung):

  • Remote control: Even if you don’t have a traditional remote control, your Samsung Smart TV can be controlled with your smart device and app.Cast from mobile: Want to see the happenings on your smartphone on the big screen? A press of a button allows you to broadcast YouTube videos, music, and more directly from your smartphone or tablet.Create playlists: The Samsung Smart View app allows you to create playlists of all your favorite media, including videos, music, and photos. This is also what you use to create a rolling gallery of your photos on the Samsung TV Gallery.

Once you have the Samsung Smart View software downloaded, you’re ready to add photos to the Samsung TV gallery. To do so, follow this procedure:

  • Access the Gallery on your Samsung Smart TV. On the TV remote, select Home and then navigate to the Apps sub-menu. Select Gallery. (Note: If you’ve never used the Gallery app on your Samsung TV before, you may be prompted to enter a security PIN. Follow the on-screen prompts to boot the app up.)Sign in and sync up your Gallery account on both devices. In the Smart View app, select Sign In to log into Samsung. This should sync the Gallery on your app with the Gallery on your smart TV automatically. Familiarize yourself with the Smart View controls. The Gallery menu on your smart device (three horizontal lines in the top left hand corner of the app page) contains categories that you can use to organize your media, such as Albums. You can also adjust how often the displayed images on your TV change (daily or monthly). Go to your photo collection. To see what photos you have available in your Samsung gallery, select My Collection. From here, you can tap on any photo or photo album stored in the app to select them for adding to the Samsung TV Gallery.Choose a display method: After selecting which photo or photos you want to move to your Samsung TV Gallery, touch the three dots at the top of the screen. This allows you to choose some options on how you want your photos displayed, such as collage mode.Preview the photos on your Samsung Gallery. By selecting Preview in the Smart View app, this will show you how the photos you’ve chosen will appear on the TV. If you think everything looks good, select the Set button to finalize the process.

And there you have it! Once you have your phone media saved to the Samsung TV Gallery, you should be able to view and display it whenever you like.

Can You View Photos on a Samsung TV with an iPhone?

Unfortunately, the iPhone is not compatible with Samsung’s Smart TV Gallery functions. However, the AirPlay app should still allow you to share photos from your iPhone to your Samsung TV. AirPlay is compatible with both Android and iOS operating systems.

This software will allow you to mirror broadcast photos from your Apple phone onto the TV.

Samsung TV Gallery may work with many devices, but it doesn’t work with all of them. The Samsung Smart View app is only compatible with Samsung Galaxy branded smart devices. This includes the following Samsung smartphones and tablets:
