Want to make a voice or video call on Skype but don’t want to create an account? Would you like to start a conversation on Skype without signing in to your account? If answered yes, you will be glad to know that Microsoft now allows you to use Skype without a Microsoft account. In fact, you can start using Skype right away without an account.

Microsoft recently announced that anyone can now start using Skype without having to register or even download the Skype client.
Skype now allows users use Skype free service as a guest user, meaning you can now start a chat, make a video or voice call, or transfer files without having to create a Microsoft account or signing in to your Microsoft account.
In short, you no longer need to have a Skype account to begin using it. This Skype without an account service allows you to invite up to 300 people to the chat and up to 25 people on a voice or video call!
For now, as per Microsoft, to use Skype without an account (as a guest), you will need to use a web browser from a computer. In other words, this feature is currently not available for smartphone users for some reason.
In our opinion, this is a brilliant move by Microsoft, and Skype will now attract more users for sure.
Using Skype without an account
Step 1: Head over to Skype.com from a web browser installed on a computer.
Step 2: Click Start a conversation button.
Step 3: Enter your name and click Start a conversation button.
Step 4: You will see the following page in a few seconds. Click the Copy link button to copy the link to your PC’s clipboard. Share the link with people who want to join the conversation. Simple as that!
As said before, up to 300 people can join the chat, and you can invite up to 25 people on a video or voice call. By the way, the link is valid for 24 hours only.
Step 5: Once you copy the link, you will be redirected to the following page where you can make video calls, begin a group chat, make voice calls, and share photos and files.
As you can see in the picture above, you can invite friends via email as well by clicking Invite via the email link in the left pane.
Step 6: After making a call or chat, you can click the Leave conversation to sign out.
