Widgets is a new feature introduced with Windows 11. It can be accessed either by clicking on its icon on the taskbar or using the Windows + W hotkey.

Widgets board tries to provide information both you need and want in one place. For example, it can be used to glance at the weather, calendar, your Microsoft To Do list, news, stocks, and sports.

Like any other feature, some people find it helpful and some not. Windows 11 offers a setting to remove the Widgets icon from the taskbar for users who do not like it. However, doing so will not uninstall Widgets from Windows 11. The Widgets board can still be accessed with Windows + W hotkey.

If you do not like the Widgets and want to uninstall it completely, you can do so by executing a command. This guide will show you how to uninstall the Widgets from Windows 11.

Uninstall Widgets from Windows 11 using Command Prompt

Step 1: Open the Command Prompt as administrator. To open Command Prompt as administrator, type CMD in the search, right-click on the Command Prompt entry, and click Run as administrator.

Click on the Yes button when you get the User Account Control prompt to continue.

Step 2: At the Command Prompt window, copy and paste the following command and press the Enter key.

winget uninstall “windows web experience pack”

Step 3: When you get the “Do you agree to all the source agreement terms?” message, click the Y key on the keyboard to begin uninstalling the Windows Web Experience Pack, which removes the Widgets feature.
