Computer monitors emit blue light by default which can easily cause eye strain and sleeplessness, especially when you view the monitor after dark.
The Night light feature in Windows 11, when turned on, shows warmer colors on your screen to reduce the default blue light. The warmer colors (more yellow and less blue) are easier on your eyes which means lesser eye fatigue and better sleep.
With default settings, the Night light feature is turned off on all computers. If you wish to turn on the same, the Night light options are available under the Settings app.
The Settings app helps you turn on or off the Night light, make the Night light color temperature more or less warm, and automatically turn on and off the Night color at a specific time of the day or sunset/sunrise.
Turn on the Night light feature via Settings in Windows 11
Step 1: Open the Settings app either using Windows + I hotkey or using search.
Step 2: In the left pane of the Settings app, ensure that the System is selected.
Step 3: Now, on the right side, click Display.
Step 4: In the Brightness and color section, turn on the toggle button next to the Night light to turn on the night light feature.
If the Night light toggle button is grayed out, it is likely because your display driver does not support the Night light feature. Update the display driver to the newest version and try again.

Adjust the amount of blue light when using Night light in Windows 11
With default settings, when you turn on the Night light, Windows 11 displays warmer colors. If you want to make it more or less warmer, you can do so as well. Here is how to do that.
Step 1: Open the Settings app. Go to System > Display and then click Night light to open its Night light settings page.
Step 2: Here, move the slider next to the Strength to adjust the intensity of the blue light or warm color. Moving the slider to the left of the screen increases blue light whereas moving the slider to the right of the screen increases the intensity of the warm color.
