Most of the mainstream web browsers allow users to save and sync passwords and browser data across your devices. You just need to sign in to the browser’s account in order to sync your data across your devices.

Like other popular web browsers out there, the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser also allows users to sync passwords, browser history, payment information, and autofill data across your devices. For that, you need to sign in to the Edge browser with your Microsoft account.

Users who don’t wish to sync data across their devices can sign out of the Microsoft account on the Edge. When you are not signed in, Edge won’t sync passwords and other data in the browser.

Sign in or sign out of Microsoft Edge in Windows 10

NOTE: This method applies to the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge only.

Here is how to sign in or sign out Microsoft account in Edge browser in Windows 10.

Step 1: Open the Edge browser. Click the Settings and more icon (three vertical dots) and then the Settings option.

Step 2: The Profiles tab on the settings page displays the Microsoft account that you are currently using to sign in to the Edge browser.

To sign out of the Microsoft account, click the Sign out button. Note that this action will sign you out of Microsoft account on Edge only and it won’t affect your Windows 10 user account (if you are using a Microsoft account to sign in to Windows 10).

And if you don’t want to sync passwords or any specific data, click the Sync option and then either turn off the Sync.

If you are not signed in to Edge, click the Sign in button and then enter the credentials. If you are already using a Microsoft account to sign in to Windows 10, you just need to select your Microsoft account and then click the Continue button to sign in.
