Most Windows 10 users are happy with the default black and white mouse pointer and its size. In fact, a large number of users are not aware of the fact that Windows 10 allows changing the default size and color of the mouse pointer.
Up until now, Windows 10 offered only black and white color schemes for the mouse pointer. We had to install third-party mouse pointer if we wanted to set a custom color for the mouse pointer.
Luckily, you no longer need to install third-party utilities to set a custom color for mouse pointer in Windows 10. Windows 10 now gets a built-in option to set your own color for the mouse pointer.
With Windows 10 build 18298, Microsoft has added a new feature which enables you to set a custom color for mouse pointer and cursor without using third-party utilities.
Complete the given below directions to set a custom color for mouse pointer in Windows 10.
Set custom color for mouse pointer in Windows 10
Step 1: Open the Settings app. Navigate to Ease of Access > Cursor & Pointer.
Step 2: In the Change pointer size and color section, select the colorful pointer (last one) and then select one of the eight suggested colors. If you need to set a custom color, click on the Pick a custom pointer color option, select a color of your choice and then click Done button.
Please note that you must select the colorful pointer to reveal color options for the pointer. Color options for the pointer are hidden when black or white pointer is selected.
If you are not getting the colorful pointer (as shown in the picture above), it’s likely because you are running a build older than 18298.
