In Windows 10, Windows 8.1, the vast majority of system settings have remained the same as in Windows 8, and even with the release of the latest Windows 8.1 Update. Here is our quick guide on how you can get access to the PC Info section on your Windows 10, Windows 8.1 PC or tablet.

Of course, just as before, you can go to your My Computer, which has been renamed to “This PC” with the launch of Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. From there, you just right click and choose properties. And that’s it.

  • Open the Search charms bar, by swiping your finger to the right corner or moving your mouse there, or by pressing the Windows logo + W.
  • Type there PC Settings
  • Then choose PC and Devices
  • From there, choose PC Info, and you will see something like this:

As mentioned above, the steps to follow in order to display your computer specs and configuration are a bit different on Windows 10. You need to go to Settings > System > About. Windows will them list all the necessary information on your computer specs and OS version.

So, as you can see, you will thus be able to see detailed information on your Windows 8, Windows 8.1 ad Windows 10 desktop or tablet device. It also shows what edition of Windows you are currently running and if it is activated or not. Talking about activation, some users have recently been reporting that their activation has been resettled because of a botched Windows 8.1, Windows 10 Update.
