WhatsApp has almost replaced conventional methods of messaging and texting. Apart from myriads of features, WhatsApp is secure, reliable and economical. Since the popularity of video calls have emerged, WhatsApp started to provide you with free voice and video calls.
Although, there’s been a demand for a feature that allows to schedule messages and send them automatically to recipients. Unfortunately, WhatsApp officially hasn’t introduced any such feature, but you can experience this nerve-relieving feature with the help of third-party applications.
Though there are a handful of scheduling apps available on Play Store, out of which we’re going to use SQEDit to calendar your messages. Below are the steps following that you can use the app and schedule WhatsApp messages on Android:
- Download and install SQEDit.
- Launch the app, read the tutorials and click on Create Account.
Enter your name, email ID and create a password containing at least eight characters and click on Create Account.
Once logged in, select WhatsApp from the list of applications, which you need to schedule messages for and tap on Done.
Tap on WhatsApp icon in the list to schedule and grant permission to SQEDit app. Make sure you tap on Allow when the app seeks your permission to access contacts and to ‘make and manage phone calls’.
Grant permission in the accessibility settings in order to make the automation for WhatsApp. Click on OPEN SETTING and tap on SQEDit.
Slide the slider towards opposite to grant access and tap on OK when you’re notified about what SQEDit needs to share from you.
Once done with settings, select the recipient by tapping at the space against ‘To:’. Type your message that you want to send and schedule it from the calendar and clock below.
You can also select if you want the message to be sent automatically or manually. However, if you choose to send it automatically, make sure you don’t have any pin and pattern lock setup.
When you set it to send manually, you may set a reminder. Once done, tap on SCHEDULE in the right-hand side top corner.

Taking everything into account, scheduling WhatsApp messages on Android is a piece of cake with SQEDit app. Here, note that you provide adequate permissions to the app that are needed to handle and schedule your WhatsApp messages to the recipient.
