It could be because this is the first version of Microsoft To-Do or it could be because the team behind To-Do has not thought about it just yet, the current version of Microsoft To-Do doesn’t allow you to restore deleted lists and tasks. So, if you accidentally delete a list or task, there is no option in the To-Do app to restore the deleted list or task. While there is an option to view completed tasks, there is no option to restore deleted tasks.
Luckily, there is a way to restore deleted To-Do tasks. All Microsoft To-Do tasks and lists are stored on Microsoft Exchange Online, and these tasks and lists appear in your Outlook Tasks by default. Since Outlook allows you restore deleted items, you can use that feature to restore deleted Microsoft To-Do tasks and lists.

Method 1 of 2
Restore deleted To-Do tasks
To restore deleted To-Do lists, please follow the directions mentioned in Method 2.
Step 1: Open Office Outlook program. If Outlook is not installed, install the same and sign in with the same Microsoft account that you use to sign in to Microsoft To-Do.
Step 2: In the Outlook, open your email folder list, and then click Deleted items to view all deleted items, including Microsoft To-Do tasks.
Step 3: Locate the deleted To-Do task that you want to restore. Right-click on it, click Move, click Other Folder and then select Tasks. Click OK.
The restored task should now automatically re-appear in its original list from where you deleted it.

Restore deleted To-Do lists
As you would expect, when you restore a deleted To-Do list, it will also restore all tasks under the specific list.
Step 1: Open Outlook desktop client on your PC. Make sure that the Microsoft account is in the Outlook desktop client is the same one that you use to sign in to Microsoft To-Do.
Step 2: In the Outlook program, open the Folder list view by using Ctrl + 6 hotkey.
Step 3: Here, expand Deleted items folder. You should now see your deleted list(s) from your Microsoft To-Do.
Step 4: Right-click on the deleted list that you want to restore, click Move folder, and then move it to Tasks folder to automatically see the list in your To-Do app.
