There are over two dozens new apps in Windows 10. Mail & Calendar, Store, Alarms & Clock, Calculator, Groove Music, Weather, Maps, and Photos are some of the popular apps offered with Windows 10.

Before this, if an app was not opening or functioning correctly, we had very few options. While it’s possible to reinstall Store and other preinstalled apps in Windows 10, the process is not very straight-forward.

A significant number of PC users who had to deal with a variety of issues while opening or using Windows 10 apps had been requesting Microsoft provide an option to reset Windows 10 apps so that most of the problems can be addressed by resetting apps without having to reinstall.

In the Windows 10 Anniversary Update and later version of Windows 10, you can reset an app if it’s opening or working correctly. And the best part is that you don’t need to use PowerShell or Command Prompt to reset apps. The reset job can be done from the Settings app.
