We here at IntoWindows have been using TeamViewer for over a decade now. It’s one of the first remote connection software released for the Windows operating system. The best thing about TeamViewer is that it’s free for personal use.
TeamViewer is very reliable and works without any issues. That said, very rarely, you might encounter issues while establishing a connection or accessing a remote computer.
If you have any issues with the TeamViewer software, you can consider reinstalling it to fix a problem.
This guide will show you how to reinstall the TeamViewer software on Windows 10/11 and Mac.

We reinstall TeamViewer by uninstalling the installed version and then installing a fresh copy. Here is how to do that step-by-step.
Step 1: On Windows 10, go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features page. On Windows 11, navigate to Settings > Apps > Installed apps page.
Step 2: Scroll down the page to see the TeamViewer entry. On Windows 10, click on the TeamViewer entry to see the Uninstall button. Next, click on the Uninstall button and then click the Uninstall button again when you see the confirmation dialog to uninstall TeamViewer.
On Windows 11, click the three dots next to the TeamViewer entry (please refer to the picture above) and then click the Uninstall option. Click the Uninstall button when asked for confirmation to let Windows uninstall and remove TeamViewer.
During the uninstallation, if you get the following screen, please do not select the Remove settings option, as doing so will delete all your TeamViewer settings.
