iTunes is a reliable software. However, at times, you might encounter issues, especially if you installed iTunes from the Windows Store.

This guide will show you how to reinstall the iTunes software in Windows 10/11.
Reinstall iTunes in Windows 10/11
NOTE: You can use this method irrespective of the source of the iTunes software. You can use this guide if you have installed iTunes from the Windows Store or the Apple website.
Step 1: Open the Windows 10/11 Settings app. Go to Apps > Apps & features (Windows 10)/Installed apps (Windows 11) page.
Step 2: Look for the iTunes entry. On a Windows 10 PC, click on the iTunes entry and then click the Uninstall button. On Windows 11, click the three dots next to the iTunes entry and then click the Uninstall option (refer to the picture below).
Step 3: When you see the confirmation dialog, click the Uninstall button to uninstall and remove iTunes from your Windows 10/11 PC.
Step 4: Next, open the Store app. Search for iTunes, click on its entry, and then click the Get/Install button to install the latest version of iTunes. If you prefer to download iTunes from the Apple website, visit this page of Apple, download the iTunes setup file, and then run the setup file to install the same.
Reset iTunes in Windows 10/11
If you are too lazy to reinstall iTunes, you can quickly reset it provided that you are running the Store version. That is, you can reset iTunes only if it is installed from Windows Store. Here is how to do it.
Step 1: Go to Windows 10/11 Settings > Apps > Apps & features (Windows 10)/Installed apps (Windows 11) page.
Step 2: On Windows 10, click on the iTunes entry and then click the Advanced options link. On Windows 11, click the three dots next to iTunes and then click Advanced options.
Step 3: In the Reset section, click the Reset button to reset iTunes. Simple as that!
