Netflix is one of the main video services available today. Netflix popularized the form. Apple TV is one of the most popular Netflix devices, but how do you log out of Netflix on Apple TV?

Apple doesn’t have the option to sign out of Netflix on the first generation. The 2nd and 3rd generations have the option on the home screen. The 4th, 5th, and 6th generations have the option in the Netflix Menu.

While this is a bit inconvenient, especially for the owners of the first generation of Apple TV, signing out of Netflix on your Apple TV is an easy endeavor.

How to Log Out of Netflix on Apple TV

Depending on your generation of Apple TV, you might be able to click just a few buttons, or you may have to uninstall and reinstall the Netflix application.

You must delete and reinstall the app if you have a first-generation Apple TV. If you have 2nd through 6th generations, the option to sign out is in the Netflix menu.

It can seem daunting to those that see themselves as technologically illiterate. But troubleshooting your problems here is the first step to becoming your family’s tech guru.

If you’ve got Netflix on your TV instead of on the Apple TV, there are separate instructions for logging out.

Many factors can help you identify which generation of Apple TV you own. From the type of remote you have, the number of ports on the back of the Apple TV, or the year made.

The easiest way to identify your Apple TV is by looking at your remote. Most of the models have different remotes. Visit this Apple Support Site Article to help identify your Apple TV model.

The Apple TV models are listed from the newest at the top to the oldest at the bottom on this site. There are also visual diagrams of the port configuration on the back of the Apple TV.
