After introducing Focussed Inbox, Microsoft has introduced another new feature in its Mail app for Windows 10. The newest version of the Mail app in Windows 10 now displays a small circle with sender initials or pictures (if available) next to email messages in the list.

The ability to show sender pictures in the message list was previously available in Office Outlook. The feature is turned on by default for all user accounts in the Mail app.

The feature displays sender pictures in the message list of Windows 10 Mail so that you can easily find the email you are looking for. When sender picture is not available, the circle displays initials of the sender.

Not all PC users like to see sender picture or initials in the message list. If you also like to have a clean message list without those circles, you can turn off the feature under Mail settings.
