Netflix has a constantly growing selection of kids’ shows, but due to international broadcast agreements, titles usually aren’t available worldwide. Take iCarly for example it’s only included in six regional libraries, and none of these let you watch the series from start to finish. Don’t worry, though: we’ll break down which countries’ versions of Netflix include iCarly and explain how to securely access your usual content while traveling.
Don’t be tempted by third-party streams. Aside from being illegal, these almost always provide inferior video quality and may well be missing episodes entirely. Further, these sources are inherently unreliable because of how quickly they’re usually taken down. We’ve listed several legitimate sources below, and many include a free trial period, allowing you to stream iCarly online for free.
iCarly is only available on region-locked streaming services. If you want to watch while on vacation, you’ll need a VPN to access your usual platforms back home.
How to stream iCarly online while traveling abroad
Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) are privacy-enhancing tools that hide your true location and make it seem like you’re somewhere else entirely. This is great for maintaining your online anonymity, but it also allows you to regain access to your regular services abroad.
Here’s how to watch iCarly on Netflix from anywhere:
- First of all, you’ll need a VPN that’s up to the task. We recommend NordVPN but Surfshark and ExpressVPN are two secure, high-speed alternatives.
- Download and install the VPN on whichever device you use for streaming. It’s okay if there are a few since most providers let you secure around five devices at a time.
- Log into the VPN, then select a server in your home country. This will change your IP address and make it seem like you never left.
- Visit Netflix and search for iCarly. You should now be able to securely access your home region’s Netflix library. If not, we recommend clearing your cookies and trying again. Failing this, try a few different servers in the same location or ask your VPN’s support team which server to use.
How to watch iCarly on Netflix
The good news is that it is still possible to watch iCarly on Netflix. The bad news is that this show is only available in the US, the UK, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina. Additionally, most of these libraries only include the first season, which is 25 episodes long.
There are no hidden terms—just let customer support know within 30 days if you decide NordVPN isn’t right for you and you’ll get a full refund. Start your NordVPN trial here.
The American Netflix library says it includes seasons one and two. However, its second season is suspiciously long, at 39 episodes. This is because Netflix US actually carries the first three seasons and has the second and third together for some reason.
Netflix has particularly powerful VPN-detection tools and as such, most VPNs simply won’t work. However, we’ve confirmed that NordVPN, Surfshark, and ExpressVPN do at the time of writing. Still not sure which to use? NordVPN comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee so that you can try it out risk-free before making a decision.
Where else can I stream iCarly online for free?
If you’re looking to watch the later seasons of iCarly, you’re in luck: these are available in several countries, just not on Netflix. Better still, in many places, it’s possible to watch most of the show (barring the sixth season) free of charge.
UK
US & Canada
Until recently, the main place to watch iCarly was on NickHits. However, this channel recently shut down and most of its content (including the first five seasons of iCarly) has moved over to Paramount+. Prices begin at $4.99 (or CAD$5.99), with a 30-day free trial in the US or a seven-day free trial in Canada.
Currently, the only way to watch iCarly season six online is to purchase it on platforms like the Google Play Store, Microsoft Store, or Apple TV. The lowest price we managed to find for the whole season was $19.99 USD and $20.99 CAD.
All of the services mentioned above are geo-blocked, so you’ll need a VPN to access your home country’s libraries while traveling abroad.
Australia
Australian fans can watch the first five seasons of iCarly on Binge and Foxtel Now. Of these, Binge is the cheaper option at AUD$10 per month (versus $25 per month on Foxtel). This service also includes a two-week trial, so you can watch for free as long as you remember to cancel within 14 days.
Unfortunately, season six isn’t included here either. At the moment, it’s selling for AUD$29.99 on Google Play and similar video-on-demand services.
Binge and Foxtel Now are only available in Australia. Despite this, you can use them during a trip abroad by connecting to an Australian VPN server.
