The DNS has a network of its own i.e. one DNS server can ask other DNS servers about translating a domain name to its corresponding IP address till it gets the correct result.
An ineffective DNS server can be responsible as ISP for crawling internet speed. Therefore, using an alternate DNS service will surely make your browsing speed fast blaze.

How a Small Change In DNS Service Will Speed Up Your Browsing?
Though there are various options available to get a free DNS. However, we are using OpenDNS, a popular DNS service that you can use for free.
- To get started open Control Panel and click on Network and Sharing Center.
- Now, click on the network name for which you have to change the DNS. Since we are using Internet connection of our office, we choose Local Area Connection as the network.
- On the new window that opens, click on Properties option.
- Now double click on the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
- Next step is to replace the existing DNS server address with the address that we have received from OpenDNS.
- For Preferred DNS server use the address: 208.67.222.222
- For Alternate DNS server use the address: 208.67.220.220
- Now click on Ok to continue for the changes to take effect.
That’s it. Now you successfully changed your default DNS server address with the one which you have received from OpenDNS.
