Steps to fix common Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice bugs on PC

1. Fix audio issues

A simple solution to this issue is to switch over to headphones, and for people using a subwoofer along with their regular speakers should switch to regular speakers.

Now, if the problem persists, check out the troubleshooting solutions listed in the guides below:

2. Black screen on launch

Users should update their graphic card drivers as well as update their PC to the latest Windows 10 build. Next, they should verify the integrity of the game files in the Steam client, and they should turn off any optimization programs, like GeForce Experience or Intel Turbo Boost Max.

Keep in mind to add an exception for Sekiro on your antivirus program or Windows Firewall. Last, but not least, run Steam as Administrator.

3. Fix controller issues

Make sure you reinstall or update any drivers you may be using for your controller. And if you are using a wireless controller make sure Bluetooth is enabled and update those drivers as well.

Next, try  launching Steam Big Picture mode, and go to Manage Game & Configure Controller to customize your controller settings and confirm your controller is being recognized.

4. Game crashes

Verify the integrity of your game files in your game Library. And next revert to the previous version of graphic card drivers. Remember to turn off any optimization programs and lower graphical settings and turn off overclocking, if applicable.

Also, check CPU and RAM usage to see what percentage of it is being used by Sekiro. Try switching to Windowed mode or Fullscreen mode. As a final step, run Steam with Administrator rights.

5. Low FPS issues

To do this, just Unplug/turn off any second monitor, especially those that don’t support HD.

Make sure Dynamic Super Sampling is turned off or set very low (check the Nvidia Control Panel under 3D Settings). Adjust in-game graphic defaults (High/Max/Low) to test your frames per second.

Do this until  you find one of those settings that significantly increases FPS.

Then try changing each graphical settings one by one to see if a specific graphical option, such as textures or anti-aliasing was the main FPS culprit.
